Attendance to any event at the ranch requires that you agree to these terms.
If you cannot agree to these, please do not come to the ranch.
These terms are designed to help raise awareness of important expectations and failing to do what you agree is not only dishonorable, it may result in you being ask to leave the property immediately. These expectations are compiled from generally accepted expectations, rules and agreements that you will find at most venues, with some site specific items added. They are intended to help protect everyone. This list may seem long but it is not.
Your presence at the ranch is an indication that you accept and agree to these terms.
If any agreement is be found to be invalid, it does not affect any other agreement.
Liabilities
- You agree to hold anyone associated with the event harmless, including but not limited to attendees, organizers, property owners, presenters and vendors.
- You are responsible for your own safety. This property is undeveloped and has many hazards, like uneven ground, wildlife, water, elements of nature, domestic animals and more. It would be impractical and impossible to prevent injury from carelessness, lack of attention, poor judgement, nature and a slew of other things that could contribute to an injury or death.
- You will not engage in illegal activities.
- Your presence and actions will not provide reason for a warrantless entry by law enforcement or anyone else.
- Your job does not compelled or expect you to report activities that you may witness, nor are you permitted to report anything that you observe to your employer or any other organization.
- No gun play is permitted on this property. Period. Nothing that even looks like a gun. Do not bring a gun to the property without explicit permission, even if you just keep it in your vehicle.
- Do not arrive to the venue impaired or become impaired while at the venue, with impaired being what the state would consider illegal to operate a motor vehicle. Doing so will result in being asked to leave and may result in being barred from future events. This is a huge safety and liability issue so please do not go there.
A Safe Place
- No means no.
- Affirmative consent is required. This must be obtained without coercion. Not saying no is not affirmative consent.
- No information obtained at this property shall be published, in any form, without explicit permission. This includes audio, video, photo and written content.
- You will have and use safe words. The venue will follow red, yellow, green in addition to any prearranged terms you may already have. Anyone hearing the safe word ‘red’ repeated may and should ask you to end what you are doing immediately.
- You will accept, promote and defend this being a safe environment for all participants. No one should be bullied or feel unwelcome because of their race, gender, religion, education, preferences, or list of 100+ other things.
- You will clean up after yourself. Make sure you leave no trace of having visited. There is no trash service at this location so you will need to take out what you bring in.
- All activities will be kept confidential. Nothing you observe, or are exposed to, may be published or made public without explicit permission from all people impacted.
- You may, and probably will, be exposed to activities like nudity, BDSM, explicit language, sexual conduct and other behavior that you might not normally see in public. This is a private, ‘sex positive’ , adult oriented environment.
- You will not have a lingering presence. This includes, but is not limited to, things like glitter and perfume.
- You are responsible for your guests behavior. Make sure they read, understand, follow and agree to these rules and common etiquette.
- Be considerate and respectful of others. Do not actively or passively interfere with activities that others are engaged in. Keep distractions to a minimum.
- Don’t hog limited resources. If you are done using something, immediately clean it up and let others use it.
- Do not leave any biohazard material. Please take this home with you and do not leave this exposed to anyone longer than absolutely necessary. These include but are not limited to needles used for needle play, adult diapers, any type of materials with blood, urine or fecal materials, etc.
- Keep the areas clean. Do not sit, lean, or cause direct contact with any surface with a body part that could cause the transfer of pathogens. Use a towel or other protective cover.
Important Venue Agreements
- No use of fire or liquid wax is permitted inside any structure. Use outside of structures is only allowed when explicit permission is given.
- If you break, damage, ‘get dirty’ or have an issue with anything at the property, let us know immediately.
- Do not leave food out where animals, such as raccoons, can eat it. This includes garbage. Make sure the garbage can lids are secured in place after using. This is especially important at night.
- Please ask a host where to park and where it is permissible to drive.
- Do not start a fire without permission. If there is a fire, do not burn anything except paper and wood.
- Clothing is required in areas that can be seen by the public. When not viewable by the public, who cares what, if anything, you wear.
- Food left or placed in the social areas are consider open to anyone to eat.
- Make sure you close the lid in the sanican after each use. Do not place rubish, trash, debris or other material in the sanicans. The general rule is, except for toilet paper, nothing goes in the sanican that you didn’t digest first.
- Don’t disturb the neighbors with noise. It is amazing how far it can travel.
- Prearrange with the hosts any play that could be mistaken for abuse, neglect, edgy or might be particularly messy.
- Smoking and vaping is only permitted in designated areas. This is a requirement by the county. Extinguish any material when you are done and place it in a designated container. The risk of fire from being careless is very real.
