Can I pay for attendance at the gate?
No. You must pre-purchase your tickets. Tickets can be purchased on the official website. If the tickets sell out or registration is closed, no more tickets can be purchased.
Registration for each event will end 2 days prior to the event.
Can I buy a day pass?
No. We have tried to keep the prices as low as we can. Additionally, the effort to plan for and manage people paying for just one day is too much for the volunteers we have.
I heard there are discounts?
If you are a member in good standing with certain organizations, you can ask for the discount code which can only be applied at the time of purchase.
The organizations are:
- Rain City Explorers
- The Whip Enthusiast Group (for the campout)
- Affiliate organizations such as ACES, BSPC, CSPC
Where is it?
The address will be sent after you have completed registration. For planning purposes, it is located near the city of Arlington.
Do I have to pay more to bring an RV/Camper/Trailer?
No. The only real drawback is that you might have to park further away from the main activity areas than if you were tent camping.
Is the play space indoors or outdoors?
The activities are all outdoors. There are several nice areas in the wooded section of the property that provide shaded and secluded spots.
Can I use the spaces during the day?
Yes. Based on feedback from people that have attended events at several locations, we will be making the spaces open during the day.
Can I have my own fire?
No open flames. There will be a social bonfire if the county does not have a fire ban in effect.
In the summer, the risk of a fire is high so we ask that:
- any device brought conforms to the open-flame laws for the county
- it is fueled with propane
- the ground below it is cool to the touch
- you have two 5 gallons buckets of water within a few steps
- the device is stable and cannot tip over
- there is someone present the entire time it is lit
- it is in good working order
What should I bring?
We have created a page that talks about what to bring. What to Bring
Are there RV hookups?
No. Although there is ample space for RVs, trailers and campers, this is not a campground.
Where can I park my RV/Camper/Trailer?
Depending on your vehicle, there are many places that you can park. Generally speaking, the larger the vehicle, the fewer options you have on where on the property you can go. We have had high clearance trailers at some of the more remote sections on the property but a larger mobile home would probably need to park in the lower meadows. If you would like to visit the property to better understand where you could park before registering for the event, please contact us so you can come out and check it out first.
Can I park my car next to my tent?
That depends. We would like everyone to park their car in the designated parking area. We need to keep the paths/roads open in the event of an emergency. In addition, we are trying to keep traffic in the camping areas to a minimum. It is ok to drive to the spot where you plan on camping, dropping off all your gear and moving your car right after that.
Can I use solar panels to charge my stuff?
Yes. Generally in the summer time, there is ample space to use a solar panel…or 5… we have even seen people doing scenes with violet wands using solar panels. We definitely promote this and would like to see more.
Can I use my generator?
A generator can be used so long as;
- It does not disturb other campers
- It is not used during the county’s “quiet hours” (10pm to 9am)
- It does not create a hazard
Obviously solar panels would be the power source of choice but there are some really quiet generators that have been used in the past with no problems.
Can I volunteer before, during or after the event?
Yes.. yes… yes… (I’ll have what she’s having)
Please do. There is a ton of effort that goes into making an event like this successful. This includes everything from the months of planning to the things done during the event. If you have the time it would really be appreciated.
Can I bring a pet/service animal/animal?
No. This venue has too many risks associated with bring any type of animal.
This restriction includes service animals and we are truly sorry if this means you cannot attend if you are a person that relies on a service animal.
This is a situation where we need to error on the side of safety over convenience.
If you rely on a service animal and would like to visit the ranch outside of a planned event, please contact us and we can see if it can be arranged.
Are there formal workshops planned?
No. Based on feedback from previous events, we want to focus more on providing:
- A great play space
- Some planned activities
- A great social experience
Can I bring my kids?
No. This is an adult oriented event. You must be at least 18 years of age and mentally competent to attend.
There are events at the ranch where the entire family is invited out. We call these events ‘family friendly events’. If you are interest in a family friendly event, please let us know and we will inform you when they are scheduled.
Can I smoke or drink at the bonfire?
No. There has been a lot of people comment about this in the past, almost all of it negative. Alcohol at your camp site is ok, but not to the point of inebriation. Smoking will be limited to designated smoking areas.
I am a vendor. What does it cost to vend?
If you are registered to attend, you can vend for free. You will need to let us know because we have designated vendor areas and we need to make sure enough space has been set aside.
Is you are not registered to attend but would like to vend, the price is $40 for the event, per person vending. If you are paying this vendor rate, you are limited to only vending at the event and cannot camp.
Please contact us at vendors@wrevents.com to register as a vendor in either case.
I would like to sponsor the event or register as an affiliate.
Please contact us at questions@wrevents.com and we can identify how to best arrange for this.
Organizations that sponsor the event will receive a discount code for their members in good standing.
